Jamaican Brown Stew Fish is a delectable Jamaican dish of perfectly seasoned fried fish, which is then simmered down in a sweet, tangy and flavorful sauce loaded with vegetables. I'm a big fish lover and I can literally eat fish everyday. This recipe was made with red sliced snapper. Also, this sauce is not only great for fish recipes but can also be added to chicken, shrimp or any meat of your choice. Brown stew fish pairs up well with boiled dumplings, rice and even with festival’s(Similar to fry dumpling). My favorite.

Chef’s Note: There may be variation in color and taste depending on the type of curry used. My preference is Bahola’s Indian curry or Beta-Pak. Both can be purchased at any Caribbean grocery store or on my Amazon Store Front link. Shrimp Cooks very quickly and should not cook for more than 5 minutes.
